This is not to say there are not a lot of great men out there but there are still a lot of imbalanced and outrightly terrible ones and it greatly bothers me.
I’ve had these conversations about the gap left for men. Financial capital isn’t longer the only order of the day.
The intentionality to empower the girl-child is great, but leaving the boy-child will tell after decades. I’ve had these conversations multiple times but you know how it is having these discussions with feminists. There is a gap for the boy-child and it shows in the quality of men these women have to pick has partners in the future. Not just partners but more especially, fellow citizens.
I love the action items at the end. It’s still our responsibilities as men to train the next generation to be quipped to build legacy and great families.
Yeahhh I can relate to that. But understand that the average Feminist fought mentally for the privileges they have today and if there's a gap in the development of the male child, it's cannot be made or presented as their primary responsibility (discussing it with them when they are sharing their own concerns might come off like that). It is up to us men to close that gap and when it starts to go well enough and they can trust the quality of men that can be produced, they can be encouraged to trust the systems we set up for their sons and become an active part of it.
Brilliant take on the developmetn gap. The bit about selection criteria evolving faster than mens' growth really hit me - I've seen this in my own circles where quality guys are genuinely confused why traditional financial stability isnt enough anymore. Society created this imbalance by investing heavily in womens growth but kinda leaving men to figure it out. We def need more intentional male-focused development programs.
yeah. And this is probably something some men would be mad about but the way I see it. In a strange way, one of the major drivers or motivation for some men to double down on their hustle is so they can afford to be with the partners they want and be appealing to them. Since many women are now demanding for more qualities beyond financial stability and have those qualities themselves, it's safe to assume many men would step up their game in other areas beyond finances to be better partners to the women they want to be with.
This is so accurate!
